Welcome! Join our ongoing beginning birding class with naturalist Jerry Coe. No birding experience needed! This is a continuing class in which participants can gain skills in the art of birdwatching and identification. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you have not attended previous classes. If you are an advanced birder, you are welcome to come and enjoy the outing.
This month we will explore the spring migratory birds that are returning to the Bay Area from their wintering locations. During our stroll, you will learn how to identify common birds in the field and how to effectively use binoculars and bird identification guides. We will explore birds of the oak woodland and marsh habitats, seeing spring Warblers, Swallows, Swainson’s Thrush, Rufous Hummingbirds, and much more!
