Animal Photography for Kids October 2018

  • Marin Humane 171 Bel Marin Keys Boulevard Novato, CA, 94949 United States (map)

Our theme will be "A Day in the Life at Marin Humane" as we photograph daily activities and shelter animals at our Novato facility. Prior camera experience is not required. Instruction and handouts on basic photography principles will be provided and the main focus of the workshop will be on techniques to capture great photos.

What to bring:

• Digital camera (fully charged). If at all possible, please bring a dedicated digital camera (not a cell phone with camera).

• Memory Card (empty)

• Extra batteries (if camera uses batteries)

At the conclusion of the workshop each student will leave their digital storage card with the instructor. Photos will be uploaded to a private gallery for viewing and the card will be returned by mail. Each student will receive a set of five original greeting cards featuring their favorite photos. A limited number of digital cameras are available for use during the class for students who do not have access to one. The class will be taught by longtime Marin resident, Marin Humane Animal Ambassador volunteer and avid photographer, Kathie Meier.

This workshop is for children between 10 and 14 years old.
