Several species of Pacific salmon migrate each year up Lagunitas Creek to breed. We'll look for fish as we learn about these remarkable animals' biology and discuss conservation efforts. The timing of these activities is subject to environmental variables; the best viewing is after rains when we might observe spawning activity. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them; polarized glasses are helpful to see the fish better. It can be frigid by the creek, so bring warm clothing and a rain jacket. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Illness, adverse weather, or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, text or call (415) 302-1034 two hours before the event to confirm the status.
