The Presidio is hosting a series of events in commemoration of Memorial Day. The centerpiece is the 150th Anniversary Formal Ceremony which begins at 11 am at San Francisco National Cemetery. See below for complete details on the day's events.

he Presidio Trust, the City of San Francisco and the Department of Veterans Affair invite you to be part of the official City and County of San Francisco Memorial Day Observance. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Presidio’s participation in the city’s annual ceremony, dating back to the establishment of this national day of remembrance in 1868. The 11 am formal ceremony at San Francisco National Cemetery will honor the one million Americans killed while serving in the U.S. armed forces and will connect the public to the commitment and sacrifices made by military personnel, veterans, and their families.

Gather with family and friends on the Main Parade Ground for games and music. Food is available for purchase.

RANGER-LED NATIONAL CEMETERY WALK
At the conclusion of the formal ceremony, the National Park Service will lead a 30-minute history walk inside San Francisco National Cemetery. Please meet at the large tree near the cemetery crossroads.

WREATH LAYING CEREMONY AT THE KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL
Meet at the Korean War Memorial on Lincoln Boulevard across from San Francisco National Cemetery. All are welcome.
1 to 2 pm
INTERFAITH MEMORIAL DAY PRAYER SERVICE AT PRESIDIO CHAPEL (130 Fisher Loop, Main Post)
The service will include organ music and prayers from several traditions. All are welcome.

BLUE STAR MUSEUM DAY AT THE WALT DISNEY FAMILY MUSEUM (104 Montgomery Street on the Main Post)
Active and retired military and their spouse or dependent children are invited to the museum free of charge with military ID.

The Presidio Visitor Cente will offer a 15% discount on all merchandise with military ID.
