PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS
If your child has been “bit by the performing bug,” here’s a list of exciting live and virtual camps providing young singers, dancers, filmmakers, musicians and actors the perfect creative outlet this summer.
DANCE
23 Elephants Theatre Company offers affordable, quality theatre education for all ages, backgrounds and experience levels, exceptional theatrical productions, and the creation of new work for both youth and adults with the goal of bringing together, challenging, inspiring and enriching the lives of the community.
On any given day at Tutu Camp, a child might take a ballet class, decorate costumes, learn the story of a famous ballet, or even take part in a production of their own creation.
Due to Covid-19 and the safety of the dancers and staff we are requiring a minimum of 2 week participation for students wishing to attend our MCD Intensive for ages 13+ in person 4 week summer program. We will not allow for students to take less than the 2 week minimum requirement.
Roco Dance’s pursuit is to inspire authenticity and confidence through creative practice, physical rigor, exposure and acceptance.
FILM MAKING
Children need to interact with other children and use their imagination to maintain a positive attitude and mental health in these challenging times. Our students discover their uniqueness; the traits that make them extraordinary, in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. Parents get feedback in evaluations we email following workshops.
Many thanks to all of our amazing Summerfilm students, instructors, presenters, and special guests. In our second year presenting the program entirely online, we continued to be awed and inspired by all of our Summerfilm participants who came together from around the country to learn, share, engage, create, and collaborate as they explored the world of film and filmmaking from every angle.
SFFILM Education’s Youth Filmmaker Camp is an intensive summer program for teens ages 14–18 to learn from world-class film professionals.
MUSIC
We are excited to offer summer camp again in 2022. We hope to be able to hold all classes and performances in our studios this year. Of course we will continue to monitor the Covid-19 pandemic, taking all precautions and enforcing any restrictions required, as summer approaches. We hope you will feel confident registering and planning to attend our camps.
This is the perfect camp for a songwriter looking to hone in a few technical skills, or someone who's always been curious about songwriting but has never given it a shot until now! We will also learn and arrange some of our favorite pop songs written by some of the most influential songwriters of our time. SINGING & VOICE OVER
Calling all girls who love to sing, perform and play! Join us for exciting singing, dancing, art, new friendships and much more at this year's Summer Sings! Music Camp. With much singing and a special focus for each week, singers will learn vocal techniques while exploring a wide variety of music, performance skills, and artistic expression.
The perfect summer choral program for older singers, the Singer’s Workshop is a week-long intensive day camp for the aspiring vocalist entering grades 5 - 8. No experience is necessary to participate in this differentiated singing camp that will provide aspiring vocalists a chance to expand your range, teach you new and more advanced vocal techniques and repertoire, improve your musicianship skills, and most importantly – you'll gain more confidence as a singer. Join MGC Artistic Director Cole Thomason-Redus for a week of fun and vocal training. Students will also be given ample opportunities to get outside and enjoy movement.
Pacific Boychoir camps are focused on creating a fun atmosphere for campers to immerse themselves in music for a week and build a new community of friends, colleagues, and musicians through creative activities planned by our staff. Every day, campers will have a full group rehearsal to begin the day, followed by activities led by our counselors our music staff.
THEATER
Learn to perform and understand Shakespeare in a fun and supportive environment. Sessions for ages 7-10, 11-13, and 14-18 utilize curriculums designed specifically for each age group.
Transcendence Kids Camp offers an integrative, creative experience for students ranging from ages seven to twelve. The camp offers classes in music, dance, and theatre every day.

Come sing, dance, and play at Berkeley Playhouse’s award-winning K-9th grade summer camps.
As in previous years, we have created all-new unique and collaborative worlds of imagination that participants enter through tabletop role-playing games with themes of fantasy, science-fiction, and comic-book heroes.
Join Essence Goldman, Danny Uzilevsky and Rachel Hoiem for a 3 week long sessions of voice, guitar, songwriting and recording instruction! Ages 8-18. All levels are welcome. This music camp will create a platform for creativity, self expression, and social connection. Whether you are a complete beginner who’s always wanted to sing, write songs, or play guitar/ukulele, or have previous experience and want to take your skills to the next level, this music camp is a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, improve technique, and discover your own voice as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter!
