Extend your adventure with an overnight stay in a luxurious Safari West tent. Imported from Botswana and customized here on property, each of our thirty tents sports a private viewing deck, en-suite bathroom, polished hardwood floors, and because it’s camping, all the wildlife sounds of the Sonoma Serengeti! Imagine looking lightyears away at the cosmos through Chabot’s historic telescopes or in the East Bay’s only full-dome planetarium experience. Your group will love hands-on science learning with Chabot’s exciting workshop experiments and exhibitions.
USS Hornet
During the Night Ops Overnight you will tour key areas of the ship to see various spaces and systems and discuss the history, science, and engineering behind them. As you move around the ship, you can participate in several hands-on science stations and demonstrations interspersed with seeing sailors’ living spaces!
SS Jeremiah O'Brien
Are you looking for a cool, exciting, and memorable trip for your class, youth group or scouts? Then come and spend the day or night on the historic WWII Liberty ship The SS Jeremiah O'Brien located at Pier 35 Fisherman's Wharf. Come and visit this living memorial to WWII history. Built in only 56 days, she is a testament to American Ingenuity!

Be our guests for a wild sleepover and enjoy the thrill of the zoo after dark! Your family will enjoy animal encounters, hands-on activities, games, crafts, and a flashlight tour through the zoo. Learn about animal adaptations and how they help animals to survive in different habitats.
