Camp Chrysalis
Camp Chrysalis, now in its fortieth year, offers children, ages 9-17, rich experiences that combine recreation, learning, and personal growth. We camp in three spectacular environments as a family of learners together: Big Sur redwoods, Mendocino coast (tide pools) and Sierra Nevada mountains. Our purpose is to explore and learn as well as to play and enjoy. We develop natural science and camping skills and nurture an ethic of respect and responsibility towards these places. In our small groups, we build long-lasting friendships through kindness and respect. Please join us!
Terra Marin Camp - Earth Discovery
At Terra Marin Camp, young adventurers can experience nature up close. During days of exploration, campers will connect deeply with their environment, others, and themselves. Camp day excursions take our campers from the beach to the mountains and everywhere in between to hike, learn and explore. Adventures are balanced with projects, personal and group reflection, stories, and timeless wandering.
Earth Discovery Camp
Adventure through forests and coastland. Track animals. Learn ancestral skills. Use a bow and arrow. Hike, run and roam.
Sunshine Summer Camp By Forest Play Preschool
Our camp offers children a fun way to discover and learn about everything under the sun! We encourage children to play, explore, investigate, use their imagination, and get messy! We do arts and crafts, climb trees, build forts, sing songs, put on shows, dig in the dirt, explore bug homes, learn about animals in their natural habitat, and so much more. Anything your child is interested in we provide the tools and safe guidance for your child to explore!
Vilda
At Vilda, we strengthen our connections to the natural world. We spend time outdoors with our hands in the dirt and feet on the ground. We plant trees, clear brush, look for frogs, eat wild plants, make a fire by friction or dye a shirt with berries. We learn real skills that allow us to remember that we truly are an important part of this landscape. The kids in our programs experience hands-on that they can make a positive difference in the world.
Marin GreenPlay Camp
We think you'll find it hard to choose from the awe-inspiring programs created to immerse your child in the natural beauty of Marin County and beyond. As always a service project will be incorporated into every week of camp (where developmentally appropriate) so that your child can have the thrill of connecting with community and giving back.
Fairfax: Art & Nature Camp
Children will learn how to work within a group of peers, enhance listening skills with music exercises and do hands on crafts and nature exploration with skilled teachers. Please pack a water bottle and small snack for your child/ren each day.
Coastal Camp
A day at Coastal Camp is a day spent connecting with nature. Coastal Campers explore topics like marine biology, coastal ecology, conservation and cultural history, all against the beautiful backdrop of the Marin Headlands. Our highly qualified staff engage campers’ interests and curiosity with a program that is flexible and adaptive to each group's needs.
Summer Camps at Slide Ranch
Slide Ranch Summer Camps are an exciting way to light up any young person’s summer, offering nature connection and safe, outdoor play in small cooperative groups. Our camps provide unique, hands-dirty opportunities for experiential learning, growth, and fun - all at our working ranch on the stunning West Marin coast.
Urban Trailblazers
Urban Trailblazers (UTB) is a youth leadership program designed for middle school-age youth that welcomes culturally and economically diverse students from San Francisco public schools to experience their national parks.
Riekes Nature Summer Camps
The Riekes Center nature department has been bringing youth outside for over two decades. During summer camp our experienced staff will teach the students about natural history, bushcraft and survival skills, wildlife tracking, bird language, edible and medicinal plants, awareness skills, scout games, community and stewardship, and knowledge of place. We are committed to helping students achieve their goals in nature, and to providing the highest quality of nature instruction. Come spend your summer outside with Riekes!
Bay Area Trackers
At Trackers we continue to plan for summer and registration is open. We look forward to welcoming families and campers in June. If there are any changes to these plans, we will notify families immediately. Please contact our team with any questions.
The Marine Explorers Camp
The Randall Museum collaborates with the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary to provide one week Marine Explorers Field Trip Day Camps. Campers visit local Marine environments, such as tide pools, the Bay, and even go kayaking! This year, the Marine Explorers Camp is offering six weeks of Marine Explorers Field Trip Day Camp. This camp does not offer extended care.
