Mother Earth needs a little help; can you lend a hand? We are looking for volunteers to help strengthen our park’s biodiversity and climate resiliency during our annual Earth Day Climate Action workday.
We will be removing French and Scotch broom, invasive plants that outcompete and smother native plant species. Removing these aggressive, flammable plants offers the added benefit of reducing the wildfire fuel load in the park.
Though it is April fools day, we’re not fooling! This activity is moderately strenuous; volunteers will be encouraged to work at their own pace. Snacks will be available and a post-event lunch will be provided.
