Lighted Yacht Parade in the Alameda/Oakland Estuary

  • Oakland Yacht Club 1101 Pacific Marina Alameda, CA, 94501 United States (map)

The Oakland / Alameda Lighted Yacht Parade, an annual tradition, brings communities together to celebrate the season and the communities waterfront history.

Staging will be between the Public Pier at Fortman Marina and Wind River Buildings. The parade will start at dark and proceed West past Encinal and Oakland Yacht Clubs. Get your best holiday spirit on as this is where the judging happens. Be sure and keep 100 feet between you and the boat in front. This allows the judges time to look at each contestant and rate them. This is also where Fred Fago, Photographer extraordinaire, will take that shot that will go over the mantle for years to come.

Proceed past the Pasta Pelican Restaurant  before turning across the Estuary to JLS! There will be some boats assisting you to know where to turn and to help maintain that critical 100 feet. From JLS proceed east to the Gran Marina Harbor Master building and turn back to the Alameda side. Proceed back to the staging area and do it one more time for those who couldn’t come earlier.
