Some of my favorite childhood memories include going to a baseball game with my dad. Every year, as Father’s Day approaches, I reminisce about the great times we had enjoying baseball together. Which is why I am really looking forward to recreating those memories with my daughter by taking her to see the San Rafael Pacifics play at Albert Field in San Rafael. Not only do I love the nostalgia and simplicity of today’s independent ballgames, they also remind me of those bonding times with my dad. Plus they’re an inexpensive and fun outing the whole family will enjoy.

While baseball is the main focal point, there are plenty of other games and activities going on around the ballpark. Some new additions include a speed pitch machine and healthier food options. Throughout the season, there are a lot of fun and exciting promotions, including former MLB player appearances, giveaways for both kids and adults, and awesome events.

And, if your summer-born kid really enjoys baseball, the San Rafael Pacifics Ball Club offers a unique birthday experience. Party packages include food, birthday cake, party bags, a visit from Pacifics players and their lovable team mascot, Sir Francis the Drake. Top it off with a personalized PA announcement during the game and your child will have memories to last a lifetime. The most popular spot is right behind home plate where your kids can eat lunch while watching batting practice. Special added features include throwing out the first pitch or being a bat boy/girl for the game.
