It's MillerFest Time
Rain or Shine! Celebrate Miller Avenue's completion with your neighbors, local merchants and city officials on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Join us at the Civic Parking lot (411 Miller Ave – across from Whole Foods) from 12 noon to 4 pm as we celebrate the new street, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, live performances, walking and bike tours, music and lots of fun for the whole family.

The Miller Avenue Streetscape Project included major improvements on 1.8 miles of Miller Ave from Almonte to Sunnyside. Improvements covered elements both above and below ground – from sewers to streetlights. Funding for the improvements came from several sources, with the majority from Measure A, administered by the Transportation Authority of Marin.
Bike and pedestrian enhancements included continuous buffered bike lanes, flashing pedestrian crossings at the Evergreen and Reed and Creek/Valley Circle intersections, wide sidewalks and curb extensions, a new boardwalk connecting Downtown and the Presidio Avenue neighborhood, and a new bridge connecting to the Multi-Use Pathway.
Environmental upgrades involved drainage improvements, landscaping and rain gardens. Infrastructure improvements included new street realignment, ADA Improvements, new curbs, gutters and sidewalks, new paving and restriping, sewer repair and utility upgrades. New design elements incorporated new lighting, signage, new benches, bike racks and trash cans.
