THE KING AND I Winner of 4 Tonys (1996 Revival) and 5 Oscars, Classic Broadway hit The King and I tells the story of Anna, a British schoolteacher hired as part of the King of Siam’s drive to modernize his country. The relationship between the King and Anna is marked by cultural conflict, as well as a love that neither can admit. Along with the dazzling score, the incomparable Jerome Robbins ballet, ‘The Small House of Uncle Thomas,’ is one of the all-time marvels of the musical stage.
Throckmorton Theatre is presenting THE KING AND I, featuring some of the Bay Area’s most talented youth performers! Directed by Steven Hess, with choreography by Bidalia E. Albanese and Maria Elena Cacciatore, and musical direction by Désirée Goyette Bogas, THE KING AND I is classic Broadway, and fun for the whole family!
