Reclaiming “Me Time” with Instacart
Ronnie's Awesome List presents a guest article and giveaway from our sponsor, Instacart, a grocery delivery company that lets you shop online from major grocery stores and then delivers your groceries to you that same day, often within an hour or two.
Do you feel like you are running at full speed and loosing steam? Like a car with a drained battery, your burned-out brain won't start your engine. Trying to prioritize, organize and schedule your days are becoming more cumbersome. When your days seem so packed, it’s important to try and find that “me time”.
Maybe you have a few tricks that you use already to help save some time for yourself, like having your kids help clean up or participating in a rotating carpool with your friends.
Looking for more tricks to save time? A new on-demand grocery delivery service called Instacart just launched in Marin, and is great for the busy parent like yourself that is looking for more ways to create “me time” in your week. Read on for how to save time with Instacart and a giveaway!
With Instacart, you can order your groceries online at www.instacart.com from your favorite grocery stores like Whole Foods Market, Andronico’s Community Markets, Mollie Stone’s, Smart & Final, Petco and Costco (no membership needed to shop Costco on Instacart!).
When you place your order, a personal shopper in your chosen store will handpick items from your order and deliver everything to your doorstep. You can choose to schedule your delivery within one hour, two hours, or up to a week in advance.
Let’s break down the approximate time savings you get with Instacart, so you can see just how much time you can reclaim this week by trying out our grocery delivery:
- 30 mins: Corralling your kids and getting them into the car to visit the grocery store
- 20 mins: Driving to the grocery store
- 20 mins: Getting your kids out of the car and grabbing a shopping cart
- 1 hour: Selecting groceries and checking out
- 20 mins: Unloading your groceries and getting kids back in the car
- 30 mins: Driving home
- 20 mins: Getting kids out of the car and unloading groceries
Total: About 3 hours to get groceries from start to finish.
If you want to save some of that time, an Instacart order will only take you about 15 minutes to complete from start to finish, so you’ll get back 2 hours and 45 mins of free time!
Now it’s up to you: how will use your extra 2+ hours of “me time”?
