What a resilient girl Dora is! She lived with her past guardian almost her whole life but found herself in a northern California shelter when he passed away. After six weeks of being overlooked, she decided to try her luck in Marin. Despite the changes she is still in great spirits.

From what her past family reports, Dora is good with kids and good with other dogs (no kitties though please!) and is an all-around great gal. She is sweet and social and loves going for mellow walks- which is good because she is nearly 20 pounds overweight (!!!) But with appropriate food portions and moderate exercise, she will surely return to a healthy weight.

If you are looking for a loving family companion who is past her rowdy puppy days, Dora is ready to fill the spot.

Lars is a friendly and affectionate boy who loves spending time with you. He offers head bumps and body rubs and is happy to accept petting in exchange. He loves to be brushed with a soft brush, is very quick to purr and even lap sits when comfortable with you. Lars is very good at using his cardboard scratcher and his cat tree so it would be great if he had similar items at his new home.

According to his guardians in his last home,Lars loves kids of all ages and is sweet and gentle, but very afraid of men. Lars should live as an indoor-only cat because his white coloring and pink nose put him at risk for sunburn (and subsequent skin cancer). Please make sure he has a climbing structure, lots of interesting toys, and a window perch that looks out on the world.

Meet Greta! She came from the Central Valley to find a fresh start. She's spent her time in our shelter learning to be more comfortable in the city and around other dogs. She's made great progress so far, but she'd love to learn more! In her down time, Greta loves to play with a good toy, eat tasty snacks, cuddle, and give kisses! She hasn't met cats before, so she'd need a slow introduction. Greta has met gentle kids and she's great with them - treats help a lot! She's a huge lover who is waiting for the day she finds her forever family, could it be with you?

Cosette is looking for a quiet home to settle into as she's new to the shelter environment and still a little shy. She enjoys safe spots and any place where she feels secure. Once she's comfortable, we suspect she'll roam around her domain to cozy up in the best sun spots. She's not the type of kitty to come greet you at first, but you know you're special when she does! If you enjoy a peaceful and serene life, Cosette is the perfect girl for you!
