Epic Ideas to Help Families Celebrate Easter
Easter is a celebration of hope and new life that we look forward to each spring! And of course, it's always a joy to watch a crowd of children eagerly hunting for Easter eggs. Easter is a reminder that death and despair do not have the last word! And whatever challenges we've faced these past few years, we can rejoice in the hope that Easter brings. Here are some ways you can celebrate Easter with your family this year.
Attend a Fun Easter Event

Do an Easter Activity
Whether you get up early to watch the sunrise, wake up at your leisure, or want to have activities to do the whole weekend, these ideas will keep the kids busy and help you feel the Easter energy.
Go to Church
Maybe you have a church you regularly attend or one you visit on holidays. If you're new to the area, or haven't attended church in years (or ever), a quick google search will show you what's around. Many churches now also livestream their services, but it's not quite the same as attending in person to see everyone in their Easter best, feel the energy of the music, and walk away inspired. You'll find that most churches are now mask-optional, but you'll see many people still masking, so you won't feel alone if that helps you feel more comfortable.
Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church in Mill Valley will be holding their Easter service at 10:30am on Easter Sunday, followed by a children's Easter egg hunt at 11:30. Bring your own basket!
Host an Easter Dinner
Maybe you're ready to host a large gathering once again, or you'd still feel more comfortable in a smaller group. Whichever way you celebrate, we can look forward to the foods we make only at Easter or special holidays. It's time to pull out your families' favorites or try something new. You can always make it a potluck and save yourself from lots of cooking and dishwashing! Here are some recipes to get your mouth watering.
I hope these ideas give you some inspiration for creating a joyful Easter celebration that you and your children will always remember. Love, blessings and hope to you and your families!!
