Blackie’s Hay Day 2018
This September families can once again look forward to a fun-filled day at Blackie’s Hay Day, which helps support the Belvedere Tiburon Library’s special programs and activities for children and teens.
Blackie’s Hay Day will be held at Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon on September 29th from 10am to 4pm for general admission; VIP ticket holders can enter at 9am.
A fun community event for all ages, Blackie’s Hay Day is reminiscent of a county fair, complete with a petting zoo and pony rides, bouncy houses, carnival games, an Extreme Air bungee and Rock Wall and Tot Town. The entertainment, included in the price of admission, includes kid-favorite Fur, Scales & Tails Animal Show and much more. Children can also enter the Blackie’s Bake Off competition and pit their baking skills against other children their age.
Blackie’s Hay Day is presented by Bookmarks, a volunteer group that provides funding for children’s and teen programs and special events at the Belvedere Tiburon Library. Bookmarks was founded in 1995 with the mission to inspire in children a love of books through reading, learning and discovery. Money raised through Bookmarks events supports the library’s ever popular Baby Bounce and Toddler Story Times, the Teen Book Club, children and teen movie nights, puppet shows, Lego club, teen homework help and special events in conjunction with The Bay Area Discovery Museum and other local learning centers.
Admission tickets for Blackie’s Hay Day are $15 per person. Children under the age of two get in for free. Activity tickets are $1 each or you can pay $50 for an unlimited activity bracelet. Food and beverages are also available for purchase.
