Looking for love? Berkeley Humane and 30 animal rescue groups are coming together in one location to make it easy to help you find the love of a new dog or cat. The 5th Annual Bark (& Meow) Around the Block, an adopt-a-thon and family-friendly street fair is on Saturday, August 19th from 10am to 4pm at 2700 9th Street, Berkeley. The event stretches over 2 long city blocks and features reduced-cost/free adoptions, great food, and entertainment for the whole family.

We absolutely love this event because it unites our community and highlights the east bay’s adoptable animals,” said Jeffrey Zerwekh, Berkeley Humane’s Executive Director. “It’s okay just to drop in and take a look. We encourage you to bring your entire family to come and enjoy the festivities – and you just might go home with the newest addition to your family.”
