"Coco" Fundraiser....See You There

Join us on Saturday, July 21, 2018 for movie night in Ayala Cove on Angel Island.

The evening will include music, games and more! Movie starts at sundown.

THE 411

What to Bring?

  • Temperatures will go from tank tops and playing on the beach to cold -- fleece, puffer, and fleece blanket. Layers, layers, layers- it will get cold and windy. Plan accordingly!
  • Bring folding chairs, wagon &/or a blanket to sit on.
  • Dinner and snacks. You may also purchase a box dinner ahead of time, through the ticket site. There will be some movie snacks, hot chocolate, coffee and soft drinks available for purchase at the event as well.
  • Important to know that it is a super late night (expect to get home at 11:45pm!) but in my mind, totally worth it. While there were plenty of kids under 6, I do not recommend any younger. Try to get your child to nap on Saturday so they are a little more rested than usual. 

It is absolute magic. The sun sets around the island as the movie starts. Absolutely worth it and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Transportation

From Tiburon:
The Tiburon ferry leaves at 5:00pm. Please plan to arrive at the ferry dock by 4:30 to ensure your spot on the boat. Ferry tickets are included in the price for the movie. 

You can arrive on an earlier ferry from Tiburon. See the ferry's website for schedule details. Purchase your ferry ticket as you board.

From San Francisco:
The Tideline Taxi will be available, leaving the city at 6:00pm. See website for details. 

Boats will depart the island approximately 30 minutes after the movie concludes.

If you travel in your own boat...

Once you are on the island, you can purchase your movie ticket in Ayala Cove just prior to the movie starting. Tickets for the movie on site are $15. 

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS

The Angel Island Conservancy (AIC) is a nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Angel Island State Park (AISP) and California State Parks (CSP) to facilitate the preservation, restoration, and interpretation of historical and natural resources on AISP. Funds raised at this event provides much needed stewardship for one of the Bay Areas most special state parks.

The nonprofit California Film Institute celebrates and promotes film as art and education through the presentation of the Mill Valley Film Festival and year-round exhibitions at the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center, film distribution by CFI Releasing, and building the next generation of filmmakers and audiences through the CFI Education program.
