Bolinas Day of the Dead / Día de los Muertos

You are invited to the celebration of a traditional Latin American holiday that combines pre-Colombian festivals and indigenous traditions with European rituals for honoring the dead. It is celebrated every year at this same time as Halloween and the Christian holy days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

Celebrate Dia de los Muertos as a family at CuriOdyssey’s First Friday Family Night on November 1, 5-8pm. Make a colorful tissue paper flower with The Mexican Museum and decorate a celebratory ofrenda honoring beloved animals from CuriOdyssey’s long history in the community. Meet animals that live at CuriOdyssey now and learn folklore about their species. Enjoy a live band and beer or wine from a cash bar. Grab a hot dinner as the kids explore and experiment with science in fun, hands-on exhibits.
