At the 2019 Origami-Palooza & The Great Paper Airplane Contest, learn the art of origami, enter origami contests and participate in a paper airplane contest.

Here is what we have in store for 2019:

  • MAKE A WISH, FOLD A CRANE – Additionally, join members of Rainbow World Fund as they gather wishes and cranes for the World Tree of Hope. Additionally, make a wish for peace.

  • FOLD WITH A MASTER – After wishing for world peace, Join Jeremy Shafer, entertainer and author of “Origami to Astonish and Amuse.” In a fun, classroom style, learn some new origami skills.

  • PAPER AIRPLANE CHALLENGE on the Japantown Peace Plaza – In addition, have “The Paper Airplane Guy” and world record holder for paper airplane distance, John Collins, mentor you on how to make a “world-class” paper airplane.

  • ORIGAMI CHALLENGE – During the event, enter in one of two categories (1) SINGLE SHEET (folded from a single uncut sheet) or (2) MULTIPLE SHEETS (3-D, Modular or any multiple sheet origami).
