Did you know that the state of California officially recognizes July as Parks Make Life Better! month? It’s a time to celebrate the importance of our parks, trails, open space, and recreation facilities for the health and development of all Californians. In recognition, the Novato Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department is throwing not one but TWO outdoor events to celebrate the importance of parks & recreation, while providing an opportunity to bring our community together for some FREE fun! 

Please join us on Sunday, July 15th and Sunday, September 16th as we take over Sherman Avenue and the Civic Green to play in the street! Sundays on Sherman is a chance for community members of all ages to come outside and participate in structured and unstructured play free of traffic restrictions. Guests can participate in organized exercise activities lead by an instructor onsite, or bring their own bike, roller blades, balls, Frisbees and other toys and simply PLAY!
