The Curtain Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Mill Valley, California. Since summer 2000 it has produced free theater in Old Mill Park with an emphasis on Shakespeare. The shows take advantage of a unique amphitheater, nestled in the redwoods, and are designed to appeal to both first-time viewers as well as theatre buffs.

New this year, the free, 1st Sunday Block Party — July 1, Aug 5, Sept 2, Oct 7 and Nov 4 — on Fulton Street from 11 am to 3 pm is a family-friendly event featuring recreational activities for all ages, brunch-focused food and beverages from Off the Grid, a DJ, retail and local SF Etsy sellers. The event complements the nearby Heart of the City Farmers’ Market, the Asian Art Museum’s FREE first Sundays and outdoor Village Artist Corner events.
Grab a blanket and head to your national park for the 6th season of Presdio Picni. This great family event takes place on the Presidio’s beautiful Main Parade Ground, a seven-acre lawn with views of the park, the city and San Francisco
